Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-09
NomoreLater ("the Extension", "we") is a Chrome extension that lets you pick YouTube videos into a Now Queue and receive an AI-generated digest of each one. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, who processes it, and how to have it deleted. We collect only what the service needs to work and to measure whether people find it useful.

1. What we collect
| Data | Example | When |
|---|---|---|
| Google account profile | Email address, display name, profile image URL | When you sign in with Google |
| Local Queue item | YouTube videoId, URL, title, thumbnail URL, channel, displayed view count, queue status, generated digest |
When you explicitly pick a video or receive its digest |
| Digest request | YouTube videoId, video title, requested digest language |
When the Extension starts digesting an explicitly picked video |
| Usage counters | Number of digests you ran today, your time zone | Each digest request |
| Paywall interaction | paywall_shown, pay_clicked events |
When the daily-limit dialog is shown or clicked |
| Product analytics | video_picked, paywall_shown, pay_clicked, recall_viewed, digest_completed, digest_failed, quota events |
While you use the Extension |
We do not collect your YouTube watch history, your browsing history on other sites, passwords, payment card data, or private page content.
Your Now Queue, including video URLs, titles, thumbnails, channel names,
queue status, and generated digests, is stored only in this browser using
chrome.storage.local. It is not synced to your account or
another device. Signing in, signing out, or switching accounts does not
delete or restore this local content.
2. Why we collect it (purpose)
- Provide the service — the
videoIdand title are needed to fetch captions and generate a digest. Sign-in verifies the account's available digest allowance; it does not identify or sync the local Queue. - Enforce fair usage — a per-user daily digest limit (reset at your local midnight) prevents abuse and controls cost. This requires counting your digests per day.
- Improve the product — aggregate analytics tell us whether the digest is valuable (e.g. how many picks get digested, whether recalls are viewed). This data guides what we build next.
3. Who processes your data (third parties)
We use a small number of processors. Each receives only the minimum needed:
| Processor | Role | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Hosting, authentication, quota database, digest API | Your account profile and usage counters; the videoId, title, and requested language while a digest request is processed |
| Supadata | Transcript retrieval | The videoId only (no account data) |
| OpenRouter | LLM that writes the digest | The video transcript, title, and requested output language (no account data) |
| PostHog | Product analytics | Usage events listed above, tied to a user/anonymous identifier |
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Analytics via PostHog is disclosed here as part of how the product works; in some builds it may not yet be transmitting, but we disclose it so that when it is active you already know.
NomoreLater does not write the digest request or generated digest to an account-linked content table. The generated result is returned to the Extension and stored locally in the browser.
4. Data location and retention
The local Now Queue and generated digests remain in
chrome.storage.local until you remove them, clear the Queue,
or uninstall the Extension. Account, quota, and paywall records are stored
on Supabase infrastructure while your account is active. You can request
deletion at any time (Section 6); we will remove those server records
within 30 days. We do not retain an account-linked history of picked
videos or generated digests.
5. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. We honor these requests regardless of your location. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA. To exercise any right, email plznomorelater@gmail.com.
6. Deleting your data
Email plznomorelater@gmail.com from the address associated with your account and ask for deletion. We will remove your account, usage, and paywall records. Locally stored Queue data and digests are removed when you clear the Queue or uninstall the Extension; signing out does not remove them.
7. Children
NomoreLater is not directed to children. Because sign-in is handled entirely by Google, access follows Google's own minimum-age requirements (for example, 14 in South Korea and 13 in the United States). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the applicable age; if we learn that we have, we delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
If we materially change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
